Training Skills Development
This five-session, comprehensive program is designed to provide
the skills necessary to establish quality in-house training
programs with well-trained instructors. Sessions will focus
on needs assessment, the adult learner, instructional design
and development, platform skills, evaluation, transfer of training,
and return on investment.
The session focuses on providing participants with a structured
process for developing and implementing an on-the-job training
program. It emphasizes the role of the trainer, identification
of training needs, job or task analysis, developing a plan
of instruction, building interest, using effective feedback,
measuring results, and ensuring transfer of training. It also
addresses criteria used in selecting a potential trainer and
guidelines for avoiding pitfalls in program implementation.
The focus of this two-day program is to prepare participants
to facilitate team meetings, group discussions, and other small
group interactions. Participants have opportunities to practice
techniques that ensure full participation as well as ways to
deal with difficult people.
